SLUTS OF ICELAND!!!
In the current backlash, we’ve been told again and again that the fight for equality and against gender-based violence has gone too far. But we sluts know that it has never, ever gone FAR ENOUGH!!!
Does it need to go further when rape is still considered collateral damage at outdoor festivals in Iceland? -YES!
Does it need to go further when the richest people in the world, who could end poverty and wars, prefer to create technology that mass-produces fake nude photos of us? -YES!
Does it need to go further when women and girls in Iceland are not even safe from perpetrators in municipal daycare facilities or during cuddle time at the kindergarten? -YES!
Does it need to go further when it is possible to get a suspended sentence for brutal rape in Iceland? -YES!
Does it need to go further when those who are Black, disabled, trans, non-binary, poor or immigrants are more vulnerable to violence than the rest of us? -YES!
Does it need to go further when the majority of sex crime cases are dismissed? -YES!
DO WE NEED TO GET LOUDER?!? -YEEEEEES!!!!
The global backlash is palpable and serious. It is easy to lose heart when you look at the Epstein files and the fact that many of the most powerful men in the world are accused of unspeakable crimes and have not had to face any consequences. It is easy to become hopeless when the richest men in the world pay to keep these abusers in power and program algorithms to pump misogyny and rape culture into our feeds. But there is hope if we look back in history, because we have been here before! 2000 years ago in Rome, crazy and depraved emperors had gathered the wealthy elite around them and were busy torturing and exploiting the public. They raped and murdered at will in the belief that they were invincible and that the law did not apply to them! 2000 years ago, no one believed that the Roman Empire would fall, but it did because THE PEOPLE SAID ENOUGH! There have always been brave “sluts” in human history who demand a better world and are ready to fight for it! AND WE ARE GATHERED HERE TODAY!!!
And this July has not been a good month for the patriarchy! The most powerful perpetrator in the world, Donald Trump, had to pay E Jean Carroll $5 million for raping her. I repeat: The President of the United States is a convicted sex offender – and 5 million dollars poorer!
The most powerful perpetrator online, anti-feminist and misogynist Andrew Tate was arrested AGAIN! This time the charges are 42 counts and include child abuse, rape and human trafficking! And guys, the ugly outfit he was arrested in was just a bonus!!!
BRAVE WOMEN WHO DIDN'T LET THE FEAR OF BEING LABELED SLUTS STOP THEM HELD THESE MEN ACCOUNTABLE!
